So after drooling over the HTC EVO, HTC Incredible, Google Nexus One, and the Motorola Droid X, I decided to go with the Blackberry Bold 9700! Why? Because:
1. None of these phones are for T-Mobile (or AT&T for that matter). T-Mobile might have started with Android, but it doesn’t have any good ones now. No, the MyTouch Slide is not a good Android phone. It’s not even close. (The Nexus One is on T-Mobile, but they don’t sell it in-store; making me unable to acquire it.) This is probably the main reason, but I’m glad it worked out this way.
2. The EVO and Incredible have faulty hardware. Sure they have amazing cameras, screens, processors, etc., but they have been heard of having certain problems with their screens and such things. Not to mention the both of these phones feel pretty cheap and low quality. (Although that is certainly not the case… Provided your’s doesn’t break.)
3. Not enough battery life. I’m pretty sure every single Android released has a hard time keeping it’s battery up. Not very attractive if you want the phone to work for the entire day.
4. Apple kidnaps most of the best designers and keeps them in the basement. Almost nobody besides Apple knows how to design hardware? Really? I know it’s a bit shallow, but if you’re looking at the god damn device for a good chunk of your time it should at least look decent. (The Nexus One, in my opinion, looks far better than the iPhone 4, however.) Luckily, Research In Motion designed the 9700 beautifully. Too bad that’s not true for the 9800.
Well yeah. There. Why did I write this? Who am I talking to? I need sleep. LOL
